The Goal

Health in Her HUE connects Black women and women of color to culturally sensitive healthcare providers, evidence-based health content, and community support. They needed a customized solution that provided better insights into their product and allowed them to scale efficiently as their user base grew.

Health in Her HUE partnered with Flatirons to completely redesign their website, content hub, community, and member and provider experiences. The ultimate goal was to lay a solid foundation for the future of their company, enabling existing users to seamlessly transition from their old platform to the new, while ensuring that we provided the best experience for both the user base and the Health in Her HUE team.

Provider Directory.

Individuals in search of medical attention from a female healthcare provider of color will discover a comprehensive database in the Provider Directory. Within this database, they have the ability to conduct searches based on various parameters such as the provider's name, accepted insurances, specialty, or location by zip code, enabling them to efficiently peruse a curated list of relevant results. Providers are evaluated across specific criteria, underscoring their steadfast dedication to serving the needs of their patients.

Marketing Site.

Through their robust collection of articles and videos created for women of color, Health in Her HUE aims to encourage their members to browse evidence-based content that simplifies health, while gaining knowledge to advocate for themselves and others. We built their content library on Wordpress with custom templates and designs, allowing their content creators to contribute at speed, while maintaining a consistent look and feel.
